Addressing Industry Challenges and Taking the Lead in Establishing a Missing Industry Standard

With the rapid development of advanced manufacturing industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, electronic specialty gas delivery, new energy batteries, and precision mechanical processing, monitoring submicron particles at the 0.1 μm level in high-pressure gases has become a critical factor affecting product yield, process stability, and equipment safety.

However, there are currently no dedicated standards worldwide that define the technical requirements and test methods for particle counters operating under high-pressure gas conditions. Existing particle counter standards do not address the unique impacts of high-pressure carrier gas environments on instrument performance, including counting efficiency, particle size resolution, and flow stability. As a result, the development, manufacturing, verification, and application of such instruments lack unified technical guidelines, limiting the improvement of domestic instrument quality and hindering broader market adoption.

As a local innovative technology company specializing in high-pressure gas particle detection, Shanghai Lasensor Photoelectric Technology Co., Ltd. has proactively initiated the development of this group standard, leveraging years of engineering experience and accumulated core technologies in the field.

The establishment of this group standard aims to create unified and scientific test methods and technical requirements, providing a technical foundation for the research and development, manufacturing, and quality certification of domestic instruments. It will further support the localization of critical technologies and strengthen independent control over key industrial supply chains.

Rigorous Expert Review Leads to Unanimous Approval of the Standard Project

During the review meeting, Dr. Zhang Pei from Lasensor provided a comprehensive presentation covering the background and significance of the project, current technological landscape, scope of application, and key technical specifications of the proposed standard, including zero count, flow rate error, counting efficiency, and particle size channel resolution ratio.

The expert review panel carefully listened to the presentation and conducted in-depth discussions on key aspects, including the definition of high-pressure conditions, instrument performance requirements, testing methods, testing safety, and alignment with international standards. The experts also provided valuable questions, comments, and recommendations to further improve the standard framework.

After thorough deliberation, the expert panel unanimously agreed that the proposed standard directly addresses critical industry needs and fills a domestic gap in the technical requirements for high-pressure gas submicron particle counters. The proposed standard features scientifically sound technical content, a clear and feasible development pathway, and demonstrates strong innovation and technological advancement.

The panel unanimously approved the initiation of the standard project, recognizing its significant importance in driving high-quality development and technological advancement across the industry.

Strengthening Industry Collaboration and Advancing the Full Standard Development Process

The successful approval of this standard project marks an important milestone for Lasensor in empowering industry standardization through technological innovation.

Moving forward, under the coordination and organization of the Shanghai Indoor Environment Purification Industry Association, Lasensor will take the lead in establishing a standard development working group and strictly follow the management procedures for group standards. The company will systematically advance a series of activities, including drafting the standard document, soliciting opinions from the industry, conducting technical verification, and submitting the draft for expert review.

Guided by standards to drive technological innovation, Lasensor will continue to deepen its expertise in the field of high-pressure gas particle detection, enhance the development of high-quality domestic particle counting equipment, and contribute to the standardized, high-end, and independent sustainable development of China’s cleanroom monitoring and detection equipment industry.
