The 2026 Pharmaceutical Contamination Control Strategy (CCS) Summit comes at a time when the global pharmaceutical regulatory landscape continues to evolve, with GMP compliance standards, sterile manufacturing requirements, environmental monitoring, process validation, and cleaning validation guidelines being continuously updated both domestically and internationally.

As routine regulatory inspections and international compliance assessments become increasingly stringent, pharmaceutical companies in China are facing numerous practical challenges in implementing regulations, maintaining on-site compliance, and establishing and operating effective risk management systems. These challenges include delayed understanding of new international GMP requirements, a lack of systematic solutions for process validation and inspection readiness, non-standardized DQ design and HVAC compliance for pharmaceutical air-conditioning and purification systems, incomplete cleanroom environmental monitoring and microbial contamination control systems, difficulties in designing worst-case conditions and assessing first-air risks in aseptic process simulations (APS), and challenges in adapting cleaning validation lifecycle risk assessments and continued verification systems to the latest regulatory requirements. These issues have become key obstacles to successfully passing official inspections and achieving upgrades to quality system compliance.
